This site is an example of what you can do with Wix.com.
I'm only using their free plan, so I'm not going to lure you with features that don't come with the account. My aim here is to show you what is possible without knowing a line of HTML or CSS code. You just click a section and start editing.

Well, you can, but it would be very difficult. Still, if you mess something up, all you have to do is edit it again.
I advise people on how to build a strong web presence that makes the most of social media without being dependent on it.
Everyone posting on social media to do more than keep in touch with friends and family should have a webpage. Trends and politics change, and most "platforms" are run by the wealthy and privileged. Web hosts are generally run by people in the high tech industries who actually value freedom of speech. Well, they want to make money too, but unlike social media, they don't make money making rich people comfortable. They make money making writers, artists, and webmasters feel comfortable.
As long as what you're saying is true and legal, they don't care. Your site, your opinion. Your call.
If you're using their free options, you may have some issues if you're posting in direct and hostile opposition to their sponsors, but their sponsors are a much more diverse crowd than people who hold a certain anti scientific ideology about the origins of humanity. It's a different world out here.
